Why This Council Exists

As ‘me too.’ approaches the 10th anniversary of #metoo going viral, we are stepping into a defining moment. Sexual violence continues to impact more than 40 million survivors in the U.S., yet it’s still too often sidelined as a “women’s issue.”

The Disruptors Council is here to change that. This collective of influential voices is built to spark cultural shifts, challenge entrenched norms, and push the conversation—and the country—toward real transformation.

Rooted in Black feminist principles and survivor-led solutions, the Council is here to disrupt, to reimagine what’s possible, and to demand the systemic change needed to end sexual violence once and for all.
