Support the President of Asantewaa Group as a strategic and process-oriented
professional, managing complex schedules and priorities. The EA must maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality, discerning between information that needs to be shared and not. The EA should be thoughtful, careful, an excellent communicator, and effectively manage their time. They will seek out ways to lighten the load for Ms. Burke daily. This role is currently a contract position.

High-level Executive Support

  • Participate in appropriate meetings to take notes and ensure actionable and deliverable items are tracked, with the support of the Chief of Staff
  • Ensure Ms. Burke is briefed and prepared for all meetings and events
  • Vet potential speaking events, engagements, and interviews (as needed in collaboration with communications support, such as PR Firm Lede)
  • Conduct pre-event meetings, obtaining all details and information to provide to Ms.
    Burke
  • For all events (including podcasts, interviews, etc.), ensure production and technical
    support is arranged
  •  Procure travel arrangements, taking into consideration the preferences and needs of Ms. Burke

Calendaring

  • Calendar strategy and management across varying timezones
  • Learn the personal preferences of Ms. Burke (i.e., the preferred length of meetings; the times she prefers to start and end her days; etc.)
  • Anticipate the scheduling needs of Ms. Burke, to not overwhelm her schedule,
    while balancing the work that needs to forward
  • Maintain timely responses to scheduling and other requests within no more than 24
    hours of receiving the email
  • Send daily schedule to Ms. Burke by 9 am of each day, and then again 10 minutes before a meeting begins, including the link to access the meeting; for events, coordinate with Ms. Burke with ample time before the event starts

Administration

  • Organize and maintain electronic files (as needed/requested)
  •  Serve as the liaison between Ms. Burke and other members of her team when requested
  • Procure gratitude and gifts on behalf of Ms. Burke for friends, family, or stakeholders

Structure

  • This position is contracted at about 20 hours per week
  • Some support during evenings and weekends is needed around events
