Recently, several companies and organizations have received fraudulent emails and letters in the mail claiming to be from or associated with The ‘me too.’ Movement. Such communication may falsely state that they are issued by, or in association with, The ‘me too.’ Movement, or me too. International, as well as its staff. They may include the ‘me too.’ logo, links to the organization’s website, and names of staff members.
‘me too.’ International is taking steps to address these scams, but unfortunately, cannot stop them all. If you receive a solicitation that you feel is suspicious, please forward it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
To be clear, The ‘me too.’ Movement/me too. International, its employees, and its representatives do not:
- Send electronic or print mail from the organization on behalf of attorneys, their clients, or other individuals seeking to take legal action
- Send unsolicited emails from organization staff, board members or representatives, other than those that originate from the organization’s official mailing list
- Send unsolicited emails or messages on social media offering Tarana Burke’s or any staff members’ participation in an event
Please exercise extreme caution if you receive mail that is not from a verifiable representative of the organization. You can avoid this kind of fraud by verifying questionable or suspicious solicitation with us at email@example.com.
Below are examples of scams that have been reported to ‘me too.’ International. This is not an exhaustive list:
- Communication from an individual identifying themselves as Tarana Burke, using the ‘me too.’ logo. This individual may represent his/herself as ‘me too.’ staff, carbon copying the names of executive staff.
- Emails from an individual or individuals misrepresenting themselves as attorneys of ‘me too.’ or as ‘me too.’ on behalf of someone filing legal action.

This email is not from the Clinton Foundation – it is a phishing attempt. We urge you not to respond to or click on the link in the email. Any legitimate email from the Foundation will come only from a clintonfoundation.org email address.
