Survivor Leadership Training
What is the me too. International Survivor Leadership Training?
The ‘me too.’ Survivor Leadership Training is a 14-week online program that will support 16 burgeoning survivor-leaders in identifying their unique voice; prepare them with foundational knowledge to lead in their communities; and provide them with tangible organizing skills to make meaningful impact. The training was created by me too. International, the nonprofit organization created in 2019 to undergird the work of The ‘me too.’ Movement.
Who is this training for?
This no-cost training is for anyone in the Philadelphia and Atlanta area who identifies as a survivor of sexual harm and who is excited to grow their organizing skills in service of holding their communities accountable to end sexual violence. We define sexual harm as any type of non-consensual sexual activity; this can include sexual harassment, physical touch, rape and online acts. Queer, low-income, people of color, trans, gender non-conforming, disabled, immigrant and first-generation peoples are encouraged to apply.
What will participants learn?
Participants can expect to glean from seasoned survivor justice organizers; check in and receive support from an accountability partner as well as their local pod; and receive a workbook and texts to guide their healing and leadership journeys.
Learning-in-Service Days will be used to deepen participants’ understanding of survivor justice work happening “on the ground” and apply their learnings in real time. All of these learnings will culminate in an organizing manifesto that records their personal and political commitments to their local communities.
As a courtesy, participants will receive a dinner stipend and the opportunity to apply for a limited child care stipend.
When does the training take place?
Tuesday, February 14, 2023 – Tuesday, May 18, 2023

- Weekly Circles – Wednesdays 5pm-6:30pm EST
All sessions will take place via Zoom. At least one session will be in person within the local pod.
